Formation of a National Counter Ransomware Taskforce (NCRT): This task force aims to prevent future cyberattacks, especially in light of the ransomware attack on the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in November 2023.
Implementation of the “Zero Trust” Model: This cybersecurity approach mandates constant verification of all devices and users accessing private networks, replacing the traditional “trust but verify” mentality with “never trust, always verify”.
Deployment of Cyber Commandos: The government plans to train and deploy up to 5,000 cyber commandos over the next five years. These highly skilled officers will be responsible for responding swiftly to cyber threats and attacks nationwide.
